How Payment & Pricing Work: Pay Only for the Driver Time Worked
You don't need to rent a vehicle, drive across town, or worry about fuel and parking. Your local HEFTED driver arrives with the van, carries out the lifting, and safely transports your belongings. When confirming your booking, our platform places a temporary payment pre-authorisation hold of 1.5× the calculated estimate on your card. Here is how that protects you:
Navigating steep hillside roads, narrow terraced streets, or multi-storey student accommodation around USW Treforest? The 1.5× hold gives your driver built-in leeway to complete the job smoothly with zero cash hassle.
Finished faster than estimated? You only pay for the exact minutes the driver worked. The unused balance of the hold is immediately released and credited back to your card.
Everything is tracked through the platform. You get an itemised digital receipt showing exact start, travel, and finish times. No cash-in-hand awkwardness, ever.

Pontypridd Removals Frequently Asked Questions
How does the 1.5× payment hold work?
When you book, we place a temporary pre-authorisation hold on your card equal to 1.5× your upfront estimate. This hold provides built-in breathing room if your driver encounters tight stairs or heavy traffic. As soon as your driver completes the job, your final charge is calculated down to the minute. If the job finishes earlier than estimated, you only pay for the time worked, and the remaining hold is immediately released back to your card.
Can I book as a business and get an invoice for bookkeeping?
Yes! Simply toggle on Business Mode in the app or booking portal. Enter your company name and address, and an official VAT-compliant invoice will be emailed to you automatically once the job is completed, ready for your bookkeeping and tax records.
Do I have to drive or do the heavy lifting myself?
No! That is the biggest benefit of HEFTED. You are booking a professional local driver with their vehicle. The driver handles the driving, loading, and transit. If you have particularly bulky furniture or high-floor apartments, you can also select 2 movers during booking so you don't have to lift a finger.
Can I book a man with a van in Pontypridd for the same day?
Yes. Subject to driver availability across Pontypridd, Treforest, and Rhondda Cynon Taf, HEFTED allows immediate on-demand dispatch with driver arrival times often within 60 to 90 minutes. You can also schedule days or weeks ahead.
Why pay the driver by the minute instead of fixed day rates?
Traditional movers charge full-day or half-day minimums even if your move only takes 90 minutes. By paying per minute for the driver's actual time on the job, you get the fairest rate with zero wasted money.
