How Moving Billing & The 1.5× Hold Work
When booking your Pontypridd to Cardiff move, our system calculates an upfront estimate based on direct mileage and loading time. We place a temporary 1.5× pre-authorisation hold on your card. If unexpected motorway congestion or narrow multi-flight staircases slow things down, your driver is compensated for every extra minute worked. If your move is completed quicker than planned, you are only billed for the exact minutes used, and the unused hold is instantly credited back to your account.
Pontypridd to Cardiff Removals FAQ
How does the per-minute payment work for a move from Pontypridd to Cardiff?
You receive an upfront estimate before confirming your booking. We place a temporary 1.5× pre-authorisation hold on your card. Once your driver completes loading, transit, and unloading at Cardiff, the exact time worked is calculated to the minute. If the move finishes quicker than estimated, you are only charged for actual time, and the remainder of the hold is instantly released.
Does the driver assist with loading and unloading in Pontypridd and Cardiff?
Yes! All HEFTED bookings include an experienced driver who actively assists with loading, transit strapping, and carrying items into your destination property. For heavy multi-room homes or difficult staircases, you can select a 2-person crew during checkout.
Will my items be shared with another customer's move?
No. Unlike traditional freight part-load services that store your goods in regional depots for days, your HEFTED booking is 100% dedicated to you. The assigned vehicle travels directly from your collection address in Pontypridd straight to Cardiff on the same day.
Can I get an official VAT invoice for corporate relocation?
Yes! Simply enable Business Mode during booking to enter your company name and billing details. A full VAT-compliant tax invoice will be emailed to your accounts team automatically upon completion.
